Saturday, March 1st- Chris & I enjoyed a fun night and went to go see one of our favorite comedians Bill Engvall perform. We had great seats and really enjoyed the evening. It's pretty rare when we leave BOTH kids for a night out, so it was a lot of fun. And we were thankful for our GPS (thanks mom & dad) since we got ourselves turned around a time or two. :)
Tuesday, March 4th- the kids & I headed to Maple Valley so that we could drive to Utah with Mom & Dad Allen the next morning, Wednesday, March 5th. It was a good drive. The kids did AMAZING. I am so lucky to have good travelers! Corrine was SOOOO excited, especially since she would get to see Uncle McKay and "Uncle Rhinocerous" (Tanner).
Thursday, March 6th- Mom had lots to do getting ready for the wedding dinner, but it was so fun as everyone was arriving all day long. There was lots of visiting as everyone helped out. I parked myself in the bedroom ironing white shirts for all the boys and it was so fun to have all of them come in and visit with me throughout the day. The dinner that night was so nice and lots of fun. People gave great (and humorous) advice to Tanner & Jessica and we all enjoyed visiting together.

Friday, March 7th- the wedding day! We all headed down to Salt Lake for the sealing. Thanks Shalie & Ali for helping with my kids! Corrine was absolutely enamoured by Jessica in her beautiful white dress, tiara & veil. It was like she had transformed into a princess. Corrine followed them around and watched them take pictures for hours. And of course, the Salt Lake Temple looks like a castle, so she thought it was perfect!

A few of us went over the the Visitor's Center on Temple Square and while headed back to the car ran into Brad Wilcox (poplular youth speaker for EFY/Education Week). Dad was his Priest Quorum advisor way back when, so it was fun to catch up with him and eventually get mom & dad over to say hello.
There was a wonderful luncheon with AMAZING food next. Kimball had also put together a great slideshow of the couple and Ryan & Taylor kept us laughing as they gave tributes to their siblings.
We only had a little bit of down time before heading to the reception. Everything was decorated beautifully and it was so much fun to catch up with people from the ward, and several Lewis cousins that even made an appearance! It was a late night as we packed up all their gifts and helped clean up, but such a great day.

We spent Saturday, March 8th driving back to Maple Valley. It was long again, but nice to be back and still have Sunday to recoup and get ready for the rest of the week. Sunday, March 9th we attended Stake Conference with Mom & Dad Allen, and then headed back to Aberdeen.
March 14th-15th- I spent a lot of time at work getting ready to move to our new office! It is SUCH an improvement. We have a nice big impound lot, a HUGE office (that even has a room for my kids to play in), a small kitchen area, a shop, tons of storage, and even an apartment on the property. We are LOVING it! I really love my job and have such a great boss- it's been such a blessing in so many ways.
March 19th-20th- I got a bug to do some rearranging in the house. This entailed moving all the kids' toys from downstairs to upstairs along with several bookshelves and large pieces of furniture. At the end of it all I loved the result, but the process was a disaster! But now we have a much more functional guest room, which we really love.
Friday, March 21st- Chris' Aunt Cindy invited Corrine to go with them to a birthday party at the skating rink. It was Corrine's first time roller skating and she had a blast! She keeps asking when she can go back!
Saturday, March 22nd- Several local churches and businesses got together to sponser a large Easter Egg Hunt over at the junior high. It was PACKED! They had music, balloons, door prizes, and of course the eggs with plenty of candy. It was a long, but fun morning for our family and Corrine got plenty of STUFF!
Sunday, March 23rd- Easter Sunday. We enjoyed church that morning, did Easter baskets in the afternoon and since we were seriously behind enjoyed dying eggs as a family that evening. We had been getting eggs from a friend who owns chickens, so I only had 9 white eggs for dying in the fridge! Luckily Corrine was more than happy with those. I'll definitely have to plan better for next year!
Tuesday, March 25th- Allen cut his first tooth (at 6 months old)! Oh the fun we are in for now . . .
Thursday, March 27th- Chris got a random bit of itching for change, so he shaved off his mustache & goatee. Corrine would stare at him and stare at him and then say "Dad, I don't like your face." She just couldn't get used to it!
Saturday, March 29th- HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! We headed up to Maple Valley for Tanner & Jessica's open house. Myreel & Larry came up from Portland to help with the food and decorations and it looked beautiful! There was a pretty nice crowd from the ward, several from Dad's work and others that Mom teaches with in Seminary. Taylor and Shalie had also come up for the weekend- so that was lots of fun to spend time with them and get to know Shalie better!

A quick funny story- Shalie was so fun and so good to play with Corrine the whole time. At one time during the open house, they were playing "Simon Says" and Corrine was giving leader saying "Simon says . . ." and then they would both do it. Suddenly Corrine says "Put your dress over your head!" and proceeds to do so. Shalie decided then and there that Corrine had won the game. :) Who knows where my child comes up with these things!?! It was hilarious.
That was March in a nutshell . . . who knows, maybe I WILL actually get caught up on my life! :)
