June was another FUN & BUSY month, so this may be a long post, but I'll try to put enough pictures in that you can scroll through and just look at my cute kids if you don't want to read. :)
We had come home from Maple Valley the night before and I was getting Corrine ready for church- when I came into the kitchen, Allen had found my bag with some bread in it and was helping himself to breakfast! Do I have independent kids or what?!

Saturday, June 7th- I do mystery shops once in awhile for several companies. I haven't done many lately, so usually I get a phone call when they have a shop in my area that they can' t get someone to take- and usually they will offer me quite a bit of extra pay to take it. So I took a couple up in Lake Quinault. It's a long drive, but a gorgeous area. So we did the shops and then the kids and I walked around the lodge & the lake. I keep telling Chris we need to take a getaway there as it is so pretty!

Monday, June 9th- We had dinner up at Mom & Dad Priamos' house and Allen crawled up the couple of steps from the rec room to the kitchen all by himself!
Tuesday, June 10th- For several weeks I had been working on a large dry pack canning project for our ward. We had arranged to borrow the small canner from the Bremerton Cannery, so we had also tried to coordinate purchasing & picking up bulk food items and cans from the Kent Cannery as it is larger and has more in stock. My wonderful husband took the day off to help us go pick it up. He was going to drive our small truck as I took our car, but about a half hour out of town our truck started trailing smoke! So we left it at the church in Elma and continued on.
I had 2 other sisters that were willing to help and we all made the 2 hour trek up to the Cannery and loaded up over 1,000 cans and over 2,000 pounds of food in a our car, a large van and a truck. My amazing mom was also good enough to meet us there to be an extra set of hands and offer her mini-van in case we needed it. It was quite the process, but amazingly enough it all worked out!
After loading everything up, Chris & I and the kids had dinner with Mom & Dad Allen and played at a local park. It was fun to be able to spend a little time with them. On the way home we stopped in Tacoma to pick up some electronic equipment for Chris' parents. Keep in mind we had a trunk full of food, and by the time we actually headed home we had boxes under the kids feet, in between them and in between us in the front seat! It was a packed car for sure! We made it home late, but safe and sound. :)

Wednesday, June 11th- I took the kids up to the church to sort through all the food and arrange it in piles for the sisters to pick up. Those who were going to help me weren't able to, so it was just me and the kids! It was quite the process, luckily my mom taught me lots of organization that helped and amazingly all the food got picked up without too much of a hassle!
Sunday, June 15th- Happy Father's Day to my fabulous husband, the father of my children and my own great father & father-in-law. It was a great day. We had a nice day at church and surprised Chris with a new wheelbarrow for all the hard work he does in the yard! We BBQ'd kabobs later that night, Mom & Dad Priamos joined us- it was a lot of fun.

Monday, June 16th- After work, the kids & I headed up to Maple Valley so that we could leave for Utah with Mom on Tuesday, June 17th. It was a LONG day of traveling (it seems we just did this drive!). The kids were great, except Corrine didn't like it when Allen would fall asleep and she wasn't tired- so one too many times she would wake him up! Oh my. A highlight of the trip was finding a Papa Kelsey's in Burley! Veggie subs- yum! Taylor & Tanner texted and called us all day anxious for us to get there. We finally arrived around midnight and Taylor was up to welcome us and help us unload. Let the party begin!
Wednesday, June 18th- We had the wonderful opportunity of being in the Ogden Temple as Shalie recieved her endowments. The Adamson's were good enough to watch my kids so I could attend. It was so nice to have lots of family there too!
Thursday, June 19th- I picked up Bradford & Lucy from the airport. It was so fun to have them there with us! Dad, Clyde & Grandma Lewis all flew in as well. We set up tables at the church that night and enjoyed laughing and visiting together until late into the evening. Kimball also arrived late that night and we all laughed and visited some more. I'll bet Grandma was grateful she could just turn off her hearing aids!

Friday, June 20th- We spent the morning decorating at the church. While we were there we were joined by Delon & her kids as well as Talmage & Grant. It was so fun to have everyone there! After everything was set up, most of us returned to the house to play a few games of Settlers and relax. Taylor took a few people over to see his apartment before the family dinner. The family dinner was so nice. It looked gorgeous! Mom & Delon worked their magic again! Taylor & Shalie shared their story, siblings gave tributes and Grant & Corrine sang "I Love to See the Temple" (we thought they were the highlight). Afterward we all enjoyed meeting together while Taylor & Shalie were given father's blessings. We also helped move the last of Taylor's stuff to his very cute little apartment that night.

Saturday, June 21st- The big day!! The ceremony was early, so it was an early morning getting kids ready before we left. Thanks to the cousins who watched Allen while we were inside and Kimball who brought the kids down afterwards. The ceremony was in the Bountiful Temple, Bradford said in the same sealing room he & Megan were married in. Kind of neat. The sealer was wonderful- just the right personality for Taylor & Shalie. They were both tender and emotional through it all. It was very sweet.
Afterward we all met outside for lots of pictures! We were even able to get one with Kimball in it before he had to be rushed off to the airport.
Poor Allen got a little bit of a heat rash as he just wasn't used to the temperatures and has such a fair complexion. Corrine & Grant entertained themselves by doing "gymnastics" on all the railings.

The one small obstacle we had that day- the strap on my shoe BROKE just as we were walking into the temple! So I walked with a funny up & down step and was constantly trying to make it work for the pictures!

After the temple, we all went back to the house where we ate, relaxed, superglued my shoe back together and just enjoyed spending time with one another. The reception that evening was at Shalie's parents home in Taylor, UT. They had done a fantastic job decorating their backyard. They had a nice turn out and it was so fun to meet and visit with people all evening. It was especially fun to see so many Lewis cousins who were in Utah for the family reunion the next week and came to spend time with us as well! It was a long, but very enjoyable evening.

Sunday, June 22nd- Taylor & Shalie asked all of us to meet them at the Fower's that morning so they could open gifts. It was so fun to see everything they received! That afternoon we all went to the Fowers Stake Conference- Garth (Shalie's father) was speaking. He talked about a life-threatening accident he had at work a few months before and how it changed his life and increased his faith. It was so great to be there with them and to hear him speak. Taylor & Shalie left shortly after for Park City where they were spending the week honeymooning.
Monday, June 23rd- Thursday, June 26th: LEWIS FAMILY REUNION!!
We had a great week at the Lewis Reunion. It was held at a camp in Paradise Valley, UT. There was a nice lodge with a large meeting room, some bunks, a few duplex type cabins, parking for RV's and plenty of camping space. We all decided to camp in tents as there was running water & flushing toilets. It made for great privacy and a fun place for all of us to gather and spend time together. We even ran some extension cords and hooked up lights to our campsite!
It was so fun to be with so many cousins. It's a little surreal to realize that all of us who used to be the "kids" at the reunion are now the grown-ups with kids of our own! It was fun to have so many of us there as well! Bradford & Lucy, Talmage & Grant, and myself with Corrine & Allen. Graham & Emily, Tanner & Jessica, and Taylor & Shalie all came up for a day or so during the course of it all- having so many sibling there made it even more fun!
Crismon & Vivienne did a great job of organizing everything and letting us all have a great time together! A few highlights:
* Family Olympics
* Classes on everything from parenting to football
* Free time enjoying the sunshine, pools & river
* Family Games
* Family Campfire (where everyone performed and Talmage received his Woodbadge beads)
* And of course lots of visiting, good food and a few games of Settlers each night! :)

Thursday, June 26th- After leaving the reunion, we headed back to Layton where we had lunch, took Bradford & Lucy to the airport and then all headed up to Park City to crash Taylor & Shalie's honeymoon! They actually invited all of us up there to enjoy the nice condo they were staying in and go swimming in the pool. It was beautiful! Corrine kept looking at everything and saying "This is like a castle!" She loved it. We all swam and had dinner together overlooking Park City. Dad took Talmage & Grant to the airport while the rest of us drove around Park City to see downtown, the Olympic events areas, etc. I really love Park City- it reminds me a lot of Jackson Hole.

That night we repacked everything into the van so we could leave early on Friday, June 27th for Washington. It was sad to leave as it had been such a fun trip, but I think we were all ready to be headed home. WE made great time and arrived in Maple Valley by 8:00pm. Thanks Mom & Dad for letting us tag along! I was anxious to get back to Aberdeen, so the kids and I headed home. It was nice to be back home with my husband and in my own bed. And especially nice to have Saturday to start doing laundry, unpacking, etc.
Remeber the obsession with the dishwasher? He's now learned to climb onto it.
